Welcome to NeonCanada.com. We are Canada's largest Neon, SX 2.0 and SRT-4 owner and enthusiast club. NeonCanada is represented by its members from Coast to Coast. Although the vast majority of members reside in Ontario and the Maritime Provinces we are proud to also have members in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec and even in the United States.
Members represent NeonCanada in various ways, they often show their cars with the NeonCanada Show (NCS) team, or race with the NeonCanada (NCR) team, as well as compete in audio competitions with the NeonCanada Audio (NCA) team.
NeonCanada is always looking for new enthusiastic Neon, SX 2.0 and SRT-4 enthusiats to join our club as well as to represent our teams. I'm away (again) from today, July 24th, until August 2nd. I highly doubt I'll have internet access as there is barely any cell phone reception where I'm going. If there are issues needing attention, please refer them to Dez. He's fully capable of handling most, if not all, of the issues that may pop up. If he can't, you'll have to wait till I get back from holidays.

I've been in contact with the track at Sparta. It looks like it's going to rain all weekend so, on the suggestion of the track officials, CNN 2009 is postponed until Sunday, June 7th, 2009. Looks like you boys and girls have an extra month to get your cars ready.

As a result of an upgrade to PHP by our provider our forum software did not work. Our provider has fixed a setting in PHP that will allow the forums to work again.

| Possible Scammer On The Boards! |

It has been brought to my attention that over the past 2 days, a board user named "keber" has sent out several pm's to board members and users about items they have posted for sale. Upon investigation into the oddities of the pm's, I discovered that ALL the pm's were identical, with the exception of what was being inquired about. Due to this, I have removed this user from our system and banned both his IP and email. If you have contacted him in return through these boards, I strongly suggest that you contact your bank imediately and inform them of the situation requesting them to monitor your accounts and credit for the next several weeks notifying you imediately of any and all unusual activity or requests as you may have put yourself at risk of identity theft. In the future, I am urging all board users to not give out personal information when dealing with potential buyers or sellers of items on these boards.
Following is a copy of the pm's he has sent to several members.

Folks,
It has been a long road, and one that I could have never possibly imagined that I would have even taken, but as of April 15, 2008 I will be officially stepping down as President of NeonCanada.
When I first became an executive of this club in 2003, My thoughts at the time had been to help out wherever needs helping for a few months and then move on. That was 5 years ago.
In those stated 5 years, I am pleased to say that under the various people that I have served under and those I have served with we implemented more changes than any other period in the club's history.
From the Mega meet tours in various cities that went on for about 3 or 4 years when 60 or more neons and their owners from across the province converged at one place at one time, the Canadian Neon Nationals, which I am glad to see that people stepped up this year to save and not let die off and even the short lived NeonCanada Shootout Series, It was all done in the spirit of Friendship and Unity and it really brought this club together.
To the several of you that I am pleased to call friends, those road trips and meets helped forge bonds that still linger on inside of me and have a special place in my heart. And the life long friends that I have made from this place, and the wrench sessions in my driveway that went on until 2 or 3 in the morning sometimes. These are the memories that I will bring out the most and will remember forever.
Between working midnights, and then Volunteering at my volunteer job, it takes a lot out of me. I do not really have the time to constantly be around here as much as I would like to be any more. Sometimes I go days without visiting this site and that isn't fair to the membership because in my opinion, with my current commitment to this organization, it just isn't fair to the membership.
My stepping aside will allow someone else to step up and I think this club needs some new blood at the top in order for it to make the next step, which will either be to the moon or off the edge of a cliff, but as of lately, I have done nothing to help shape this clubs direction so maybe it is time for someone else who is motivated to assist you guys in this.
This is why I can safely walk away from this position now, and know that NeonCanada is in very cabable hands. NeonCanada is at an evolution change once again. A place where it was when I stepped in and became Vice President in 2003, and where I will be leaving in just a few weeks.
At this time, i would like to announce the Doug Sheppard (farmboy) will be the new incoming President.
Doug has the leadership ability as well as a true unmatched passion for this organization and its best interests. In time, he will unveil a new Leadership Team that I can confidently say will continue to progressively change the face of NeonCanada.
In closing, i would just like to thank you all for your kindness, compassion and understanding through some of the better times in my life. I will continue to stick around and support NeonCanada, even though it will be more of a background role in my life.

Effective Saturday Sept 8th 2007 the NeonCanada Administration Team will undergo the following leadership changes.
President -> Jamie (Dodgeboy)

Director of Club Operations -> Curt (Neon_Power)
National Membership Coordinator -> Adrian
These changes reflect my departure from the club as well as bringing fresh new perspectives and ideas to the Admin Team. The new team is one with a great amount of experience and enthusiasm and I would hope will be welcomed accordingly.
